Head of Section for Special Crimes (Pidsus) of the Bogor District Prosecutor’s Office, Bambang Winarno, said that Azwar was a contractor for the Sukahati-Kedunghalang road construction project, Cibinong District.
Azwar, who is currently a convict, was involved in a corruption case with a development project budget of Rp 10 billion in 2011. “The replacement money and fines for corruption cases that we receive on Azwar’s behalf are the result of the cassation verdict,” he explained.
Azwar was designated as a Corruption Convict (Tipikor) and was proven to have violated Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 Year 1999 concerning Corruption, with a sentence in the Supreme Court (MA) for three years and six months.
