Indonesian National Army (TNI) Deploys Personnel and Alutsista in Search for Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 Aircraft

Media www.rajawalisiber.com –  The Indonesian National Army deployed its personnel and Alutsistas in the process of searching for the loss of the Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 plane bound for Jakarta – Pontianak which is estimated to have crashed around the waters of the island of Laki and Lancang Island, the Thousand Islands, at around 14:39 WIB, Saturday (9/1/2021).

Information on the disappearance of the Sriwijaya Air SJ -182 aircraft for the purpose of Jakarta – Pontianak was immediately responded to by the TNI Commander Marshal TNI Hadi Tjahjanto, S.I.P. by mobilizing the strength of personnel and Alutsista in search and rescue operations (Search and Rescue) SAR.

In this operation, the TNI plans to deploy personnel from the Regional Military Command (Satkowil) of the Jaya Regional Command, 4 KRI Indonesian Navy, Amphibi Reconnaissance Personnel (Taifib) and the Jalamangkara Detachment (Denjaka), which tonight is moving with the National SAR Agency (Basarnas).

Meanwhile, the Air Force tomorrow morning will deploy 1 Heli Super Puma Nas-332, EC-752 Caracal, Fix Wing Boeing 737 Intai Maritim, and CN-295, 1 Heli Dauphin HR 3604 belonging to Basarnas and SAR personnel from Korphaskas.

In carrying out the operation, personnel from the TNI are under the coordination of the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) and are currently departing to the coordinate point where the aircraft lost contact.
