According to the President, Golkar is a political party that is mature and has long experience and eats a lot of salt in Indonesian politics.
Media www.rajawalisiber.com – President Joko Widodo attended the Peak of the 58th Anniversary of the Golkar Party which was held at the Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran, Jakarta, on Friday, October 21, 2022. Starting his remarks, President Jokowi congratulated the Golkar Party on its birthday.
“First of all, I would like to wish a happy 58th birthday to the entire big family of the Golkar Party,” said the President.
According to the President, Golkar is a political party that is mature and has long experience and eats a lot of salt in Indonesian politics. Therefore, the President believes that the Golkar Party will be careful in determining the presidential and vice presidential candidates in 2024.
“I believe that Golkar will be careful, will be careful, will be careful, not reckless in declaring presidential and vice presidential candidates for 2024,” he said.
Furthermore, the Head of State explained the importance of choosing a leader who has high flying hours. This is mainly due to the current world situation which is full of uncertainty, and it is predicted that it will be even darker in 2023. For example, the President said that currently many countries have experienced crises and have become “patients” of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
“Now that there are 14 countries that have entered the IMF, they have become patients, and 28 more countries are already lining up at the IMF’s door. Therefore, we really have to choose the leaders in the future who have high flying hours,” he explained.
“Because, once again, in the development of a country, political stability is very important. We also need security stability, especially in a world situation that is very difficult, difficult to calculate, difficult to calculate, difficult to predict,” he said.
Also attending the event were the 10th and 12th Vice Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla, Chairman of the Indonesian People’s Consultative Assembly Bambang Soesatyo, Coordinating Minister for the Economy and General Chairperson of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, and Coordinating Minister Political, Legal, and Security Sector Mahfud Md.
Also present were Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, Chairman of the Nasdem Party Surya Paloh, Plt. Chairman of the United Development Party Mardiono, and Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono.
