“Olympic Truce Endorsed by UN General Assembly for Paris 2024”
Media www.rajawalisiber.com – The draft resolution A/78/L.9 “Building a peaceful and better world through sport and the Olympic ideal” was adopted by recorded vote (118 in favor 0 against 2 abstentions).
After the vote, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) President, Thomas Bach, and the Paris 2024 President, Tony Estanguet, addressed the media.
Thomas Bach said, “We warmly welcome and are very grateful for the overwhelming support of this Olympic Truce resolution by just two abstentions.”
