Ditpolairud Deployed 8 Ships – 4 Helicopters to Help Search for Sriwijaya Air Plane that Crashed on Male Island

JAKARTA, Media www.rajawalisiber.com  – The Sriwijaya Air aircraft type Boeing 737-524 with flight number SJ182 crashed around Male Island, Saturday (9/1/2021) afternoon. Ditpolairud Baharkam Polri deployed 8 patrol boats and 4 helicopters Dauphin As 365 N.3, Bell 429, and 3 ships belonging to Polariud Polda Metro Jaya to assist in the search.

Dirpolair Korpolairud Baharkam Polri Brigadier General Pol Mohammad Yassin Kosasih said that apart from deploying ships, Ditpolariud also deployed tools to find aircraft black boxes.

“In assisting the search for the plane that crashed, we brought 2 sets of Vinger Locaters, namely tools to find Black Boxes and 50 divers consisting of Ditpolair divers, Ditpolairud Polda Metro Jaya divers, Ditpolairud Polda Banten divers and divers from KorBrimob,” said Yassin at the pier. JICT 2, North Jakarta, Sunday (10/1/2021).

Yassin said that on the orders of the Head of the National Police Headquarters, Komjen Pol Agus Andrianto, through Kakorpolairud, in order to help the search for Search and Rescue (SAR) to the maximum. He also sent several speed boats and rubber boats to search for debris and the main body of the aircraft.

Then dives are carried out while still coordinating with Basarnas and other SAR elements.

“I also hope that during the sweeping and diving the weather will be in good condition,” he concluded.

Previously, the plane carrying 56 passengers and 6 cabin crew lost contact one hour after take off. The airplane from Tangerang Soetta Airport is actually going to Supadio Pontianak Airport.
