The DVI Team Manages the Crime Scene for Five Pieces of Bodies of SJ-182 Sriwijaya Air Victims

Jakarta Media www.rajawalisiber.com – The Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) team conducted a TKP investigation of the findings of five bags containing body parts in the search for the Sriwijaya Air plane that lost contact on Saturday (09/01/2021) in the waters of the Thousand Islands.

The body fragments were found along with three bags containing aircraft debris.

“We, from the DVI team, will carry out the TKP processing of the evidence that has been received to us,” said the Head of Sub-Directorate for Political, Political, and Cultural Affairs, Polda Metro Jaya (Kompol. Asep Yunardi).

Furthermore, the DVI team will hand over the pieces of the body to the Mortem Post at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital for identification.

“For further investigation, we will take it to the mortem post at the Police Hospital,” he said.

As is known, the Sriwijaya SJ-182 flight from Jakarta to Pontianak was reported missing contact on Saturday (09/01/2021) afternoon around 14:40 WIB.

The plane that departed from Soekarno-Hatta Airport carried 12 crew and 50 passengers consisting of 40 adults, 7 children and 3 babies.
